' 성혼 선서에도 불구하고 분명 예고 없이 죽음이 둘 사이를 갈라놓는 순간이 온다. 빠를 수도 있고, 더딜 수도 있다. 어느 때건, 산 사람은 살아야 한다. 자명하고도 잔인한 진리다.   사별 뒤의 삶을 견뎌내야만 하는 남겨진 자의 타들어가는 듯한 몸부림을 연기하는 매튜 구드가 너무 좋았다. 그는 정말이지 오른쪽 깜빡이를 켜고 좌회전하듯 방향을 잃고 지낸다. 조각난 삶이 제자리를 찾아가는 과정은 지난하고, 위태롭다. 보는 내내 ' 데몰리션 ' 생각이 났다. 데몰리션 의 데이비스가 스스로 치유하고 진정한 삶을 되찾기 위해 부숴야 했다면, 버닝맨의 톰은 아무데서나 불쑥불쑥 튀어나와 불타오르는 추억들을 다시 직면해야 하는 것이다. 시신이 담긴 관은 활활 잘만 타오르는데 조각난 기억들은 남겨진자의 생을 붙들고 좀처럼 놓아주지 않는다. 산 사람의 일상에 매일같이 펼쳐지는 사투다. 두 이야기에 차이를 만드는 변수는 '아이'다. 이 놀라운 사랑의 결실이 해내는 아무것도 아

She worked with special needs children, she snorted when she laughed and cried every time they showed footage of the Towers falling. Other than that I don’t think I knew who she really was. She always said I didn’t pay attention. I find I’m suddenly starting to notice things I never saw before. Well, maybe I saw them, I just wasn’t paying attention. Man loses his wife, he's a widower. Child loses a parent, they're an orphan. But losing a child... there is no word for this. And it shouldn't be. Phil said it himself,  “If you want to fix something you have to take everything apart and figure out what’s important.” Repairing the human heart is like repairing and automobile. You have to take everything apart, just examine everything, and then you can put it all back together.
