We accept the reality of the world with which we're presented. It's as simple as that.

I am the Creator-of a television show that gives hope and joy and inspiration to millions. 

Then who am I?

You're the star.

Was nothing real?

You were real. That's what mad you so good to watch.

사는게 힘들어서인지, 저토록 완벽하게 행복이 연출되는 세상이라면 그런대로 안분지족 할 수 있지 않을까 하는 생각도 잠시 들었다.

스튜디오의 밖에서 트루먼에게 펼쳐질 세상이 얼마나 녹록치 않을지가 눈에 선해서 그랬다.

진짜는 무엇이고, 가짜는 또 무엇인지. 현실과 비현실의 경계는 무엇인지. 

연출도, 대본도, 특수효과도 없는 삶 자체의 쇼라면 그것이 과연 쇼일까 삶일까.
